Overview

Wookler was a fashion app designed for users to post their street-fashion photography, featuring themselves and their outfits. The goal is to provide a means for real people to provide fashion inspiration to others.
Wookler was not launched as "Wookler," but it was the internal name of the product before the client sold it.

This was a personal project that I did for a client outside of my regular job and work hours.

Scenario

Jennifer is dressed to go to work, and she wants to share her outfit as inspiration with others. She asks her roommate to take her picture and uploads it to Wookler. She loves the boutique Sweet Pea where she bought her oxford boots and wants to spread the word. In a few seconds, she tags the boutique and posts to the world.
Later that evening, Sweet Pea has sold out of the oxford boots, and Jennifer has 32 additional followers.

Background

Leveraging India's emerging trend of people looking at fashion, talking about fashion and even making their first steps towards a career in fashion by getting online, Wookler wanted to promote local fashionistas and boutiques.

Product goal

I worked with the two co-founders to define the product goal of creating a virtual fashion gallery where anyone can be a model. The draw is the ability to see what other real people are wearing, to be able to share what you're wearing yourself with the world, and see how people react to it.
